Directions to Summit Trail
Bradbury Mountain state park is pretty easy to find. It's located at 528 Hallowell Road in Pownal, Maine. There is a box to collect the $3 fee for adults, but it is not manned (or at least it wasn't when we were there) so it is on the honor system.
After entering, turn right into the parking lot and the main summit trail is beyond the picnic tables.

Hike Report
This is a pretty short hike, but it was a pleasant experience. It is steep and there are some rocks, and was a little bit of mud when we went, but it's so short that the steepness doesn't really matter too much. We took the summit trail up which is 0.2 miles, and the Northern Loop trail down, which is about a mile, and more of a gradual descent.
As we arrived on the summit we saw some hawks flying very close to the mountain which was really neat. The view is nice, though not as nice as a larger mountain view would be, but you can see the ocean.
This is a great family park. There are restrooms, picnic tables, and a playground before you get to the trail leading up to the mountain.

Difficulty
This is a very easy hike. It is steep, and there are rocks and tree roots and boulders, but it works well for families since there are also other trails that are a bit longer but smoother and not as steep. Some are even suitable for horses. We took an almost 9-month-old baby with us in the Snugli and he did fine.
Statistics
It probably took us 15 minutes at the most to reach the top. On the way down we took a longer trail that was more like 20-25 minutes. The Summit trail is 0.2 miles, and the Northern loop is 1 mile.
